Cath Lab Recovery RN | Asheville, NC | 13-Week Contract

This Cath Lab Recovery unit focuses on the preparation and recovery of patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures. The unit manages a broad scope of cardiac diagnoses with an emphasis on procedural patients, including Structural Heart cases.

Shift & Schedule

• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Two shifts: 0600–1830 | One shift: 0800–2030
• No weekly call; no weekend requirements
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Clinical Scope

Nurses in this role perform or manage:

• Sheath pulls and groin management
• Radial access site management
• Cardioversions
• General anesthesia recovery
• Moderate sedation monitoring

Required Experience & Skills

• ICU or Cardiac Step-Down background required
• Previous Cath Lab or EP Lab experience strongly preferred
• Moderate sedation experience preferred
• Competency in sheath pulls required
• Critical care and/or procedural nursing background essential

Certifications Required

• ACLS (current)
• Active RN license in North Carolina (or compact eligibility)

Work Environment

• CNA support available on unit
• Float to IR Pre/Post is rare; flex based on census volume
• Green hospital-issued scrubs required
