Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Third Shift) | Duration: 13 weeks | Start: October 26, 2026

About the Role

You'll provide direct patient care on a medical-surgical/telemetry unit, managing adults with a wide range of medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions. This role emphasizes continuous monitoring, clinical judgment, and evidence-based nursing practice in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and deliver hands-on care to 4–6 patients per shift
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs continuously; recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments, including cardiac drips, per physician orders
• Manage pre- and post-operative care, including wound management and pain control
• Coordinate care for patients with chronic and acute conditions (diabetes, cardiac, respiratory)
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with physicians, cardiologists, case managers, and the interdisciplinary team on care planning and discharge coordination
• Document assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the electronic medical record
• Uphold infection control and fall prevention protocols

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state (or compact license)
• ADN or ASN (BSN preferred)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• 1+ years of medical-surgical or telemetry nursing experience
• Demonstrated competency in telemetry and EKG interpretation
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and collaborative skills
