Neuro ICU – 12-Hour Night Shift
The Opportunity
Join the facility's Neuro ICU for a 13-week contract as a staff nurse on nights. You'll care for patients with acute neurological conditions in a newer, state-of-the-art unit with a strong stroke and neuroscience program.
The Role
You'll be first to float to sister facilities; mid-shift transfers are rare but possible.
Requirements
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Current RN license
- Telemetry competency (read and interpret EKG strips)
- Ventilator experience
- 2 years Neuro ICU experience preferred
Navy scrubs required (undershirts may be navy, white, or black).
Scheduling & Orientation
Schedules are published 4 weeks in advance. Self-scheduling is available; managers finalize assignments. You can access schedules from home and request extra shifts or trades. Orientation includes 1–2 days with a preceptor on the floor.

- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Holiday rotations with core staff
- Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
