CVOR Surgical Technologist
Position Details
- Location: Asheville, NC
- Shift: 06:00–16:30 (4 × 10 days per week)
- Contract: 9 weeks
- Start Date: October 12, 2026
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Required Qualifications
- Current CST and BLS certification (mandatory)
- Extensive CVOR experience with a minimum of 2 travel assignments required
- Advanced first assist experience and proficiency preferred
About the Role
You'll work as a scrub technologist in a busy cardiovascular operating room performing a wide range of complex procedures: CABG, valve replacement, VAD insertions, TAVR, VATS, lobectomy, pacemaker/AICD insertions, septal myectomy, Ross procedures, EVH, IABP insertions, femoral cannulation, and circulatory arrest cases.
Unit Structure
- 6 operating rooms
- Staffing includes unit secretary, charge nurse, PCA, and core tech
- All cases require 1 scrub and 1 circulator; pump cases also require a first assist/heart holder (RN or CST)
- On-call shifts assigned and rotated among staff
- Infrequent floating as needed
- Cases are highly efficient; this is not a training facility
What to Expect
Hospital-provided scrubs with adherence to surgical attire policy required. Strong clinical outcomes and recognition for surgical excellence. Orientation will cover all unit policies and procedures.
