Emergency Department RN — Travel Contract | Asheville, NC

Shift: Nights, 18:45–07:15 | 4 x 12-hour shifts

Contract Duration: 6 weeks | 48 hours guaranteed per week

About the Unit

This high-volume Emergency Department manages a broad acuity range, including medical patients, behavioral health holds, and a richly diverse patient population representing more than 120 languages. The unit is supported by techs in cardiac monitoring, , and internal processing, as well as unit clerks on both days and nights. Techs, clerks, and a strong team culture make this a highly collaborative environment.

Scheduling & Float

• Every other weekend required
• Floating within all sections of the ED; no floating outside the ED
• Special scheduling requests cannot be accommodated

Orientation

• 4-hour hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour floor shift

Scrub Color: Navy (RNs)

Required Certifications (all due before start date unless noted):

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC (within 90 days of start)

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in an ED setting
• Background in high-volume, high-acuity emergency care strongly preferred
• Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED
• AIDET patient experience standards expected
