Emergency Department RN — Travel Contract

Asheville, NC | Nights | 6-Week Contract

This busy emergency department serves a highly diverse, multicultural community and is known for strong teamwork and a welcoming unit culture. The team takes pride in delivering patient-centered care across a wide range of acuity levels, including behavioral health holds and complex medical cases.

Shift & Schedule

• 4 x 12-hour nights (18:45–07:15)
• Every other weekend required
• 48-hour weekly guarantee
• No block scheduling; scheduling meets department needs

Orientation

• 4-hour hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour floor shift

Clinical Scope

• High-volume ED managing medical, trauma, and behavioral health patients
• Float within all sections of the ED; no floating outside the department
• Techs support cardiac monitoring, , and internal processing areas

Required Certifications (all must be current before start date)

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC required within 90 days of hire

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 2 years of RN experience, with a minimum of 1 year in an emergency department setting
• Prior experience in a high-volume ED strongly preferred
• Strong teamwork mentality; ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Flexibility to work across all areas of the ED

Dress Code

• Navy scrubs (all navy, all white, or a combination of navy and white)
