Night Shift RN – Med/Surg Tele

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a night shift position in the Med/Surg Tele unit. This is a 13-week contract with an auto-offer for qualified candidates.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 3x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Contract duration: 13 weeks
• Start date: October 23, 2026

Core Requirements

• Minimum 12 months of permanent Med/Surg Tele experience
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications (in hand at submission)
• NIHSS certification required prior to start
• Permanent Ohio nursing license or compact state license in hand at time of submission
• One reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty (within past 12 months); Charge RN references accepted

Pre-Start & Orientation Assessments

• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment will be completed during orientation
• Maximum of 2 attempts to pass both assessments; failure to pass will result in contract cancellation
• Onboarding includes required competency modules (average 6–15 hours)

Compliance Requirements

• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Negative 10-panel + nicotine (cotinine) drug screen within 12 months of start; renewed annually
• BCI/FBI background prints must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Nicotine-free status required

Contract Extensions

• Extension available for up to 18 months with client; 6-month break required thereafter (may be deferred with client approval)
