Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) – Night Shift RN
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. This is a night shift position caring for high-acuity cardiac patients in a fast-paced environment.
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-hour nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 13-week contract
- Must work at least every other holiday
Requirements
- Minimum 12 months of permanent, full-time experience in cardiovascular nursing or intensive care
- Active Ohio or compact state RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- One professional reference from a manager, charge nurse, supervisor, or director required (from past 12 months)
- Willing to complete ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation; acceptable scores required on both
- COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions available)
What to Expect
You'll provide direct care to critically ill cardiac patients, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and participate in ongoing clinical education. Orientation includes online modules and competency-based training.
