CVICU Night Shift – Travel Nurse

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a registered nurse for a night shift position in the cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU). You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment managing post-operative cardiac patients and complex cardiovascular cases.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 23, 2026
• Holiday Coverage: Must work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• Current, active nursing license: Ohio or compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 12 months permanent CVICU experience required
• Active certifications: BLS (American Red Cross), ACLS, and NIHSS
• One professional reference required from a manager, charge nurse, supervisor, or director in CVICU (from the past 12 months; co-worker references will not be accepted)

Orientation & Assessments

During orientation, you'll complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment. Both require acceptable scores to continue; you'll have two attempts maximum to pass.

Compliance

• Background checks and reference checks will be conducted
• Drug screening required; current nicotine-free status may apply depending on role
• Background investigative clearance must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
