Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced RN for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a night shift position working 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), with every other holiday off.

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 23, 2026
• Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 hours per week

Requirements

• Minimum 12 months of permanent, full-time experience in PCU or stepdown nursing
• Current, active RN license: permanent Ohio license or compact state license required at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• One professional reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director (from work within the past 12 months; peer references will not be accepted)

Clinical Scope

You'll provide direct patient care in a progressive care setting, managing patients transitioning from acute care. Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, patient assessment, medication administration, and coordination with interdisciplinary team members.

Orientation & Assessments

During orientation, you will complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment. Both assessments must be passed to continue employment (maximum 2 attempts).

Compliance Requirements

• Background check and BCI/FBI fingerprints required within 48 hours of contract signing
• Drug screen (10-panel + nicotine) required within 12 months of start date and updated annually
• No open background cases or license hits acceptable
• Annual hands-on competency module required for continuous contracts of 1+ year
