Travel Nurse – PCU
Position Overview
The facility's Progressive Care Unit is seeking a travel nurse for a 13-week assignment. You'll provide care for patients requiring step-down or intermediate-level monitoring and intervention.
Schedule & Logistics
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (3 × 12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week)
- Location: Primary assignment in Decatur, with potential float to nearby facilities within a 15-mile radius as patient census dictates
- Shift Placement: You'll know your assigned location before each shift begins
- Time Off: All time off must be requested and approved upfront
Key Requirements
- Current RN license (state-specific)
- PCU or step-down experience preferred
- Ability to float within specialty as needed
- Willingness to work in a dynamic, census-driven environment
- Must relocate; local travelers within a 50-mile radius are not considered
What to Expect
You'll manage patients transitioning from acute to lower-acuity settings, handling telemetry monitoring, medication administration, and direct patient care. Flexibility and strong communication are essential in this role.
