Pediatric / Oncology RN — Night Shift | Asheville, NC

This 13-week contract places you on a combined Pediatric and Oncology unit, caring for a mixed population of pediatric medical patients and pediatric oncology patients. The unit maintains at least one oncology-certified nurse on every shift, reflecting the specialized nature of the patient population.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Weekend requirement: 6 weekend shifts per contract, including 2 Saturdays
• Start date: September 21, 2026

Clinical Scope

• Pediatric medical and oncology nursing care
• Infusion therapy and oncology-specific interventions
• Collaborative team includes charge RN, respiratory therapy, and patient care technician support each shift

Float Requirements

• May be required to float to PICU or NICU

Required Certifications

• BLS
• PALS
• APHON certification required for oncology assignments

Required Experience

• Pediatric inpatient hospital experience is required; candidates without this will not be considered
• Pediatric oncology experience is strongly preferred

Dress Code

• RNs: All navy, all white, or a combination of navy and white

Orientation

• 4-hour facility orientation followed by an 8-hour floor shift
