Pediatric / Oncology RN — Night Shift | Asheville, NC

This 13-week contract places you on a combined pediatric and oncology unit caring for a diverse patient population ranging from general pediatric cases to hematology/oncology diagnoses. The unit is staffed around the clock with dedicated oncology nursing coverage every shift.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 6 weekend shifts required per contract (2 must be Saturdays)

Clinical Scope

• General pediatric and pediatric oncology patient populations
• Procedures and care consistent with acute pediatric and hematology/oncology nursing
• Float coverage to PICU and NICU as needed

Required Certifications

• BLS
• PALS
• APHON (required for oncology assignment)

Required Experience

• Pediatric hospital nursing experience (mandatory — candidates without this will not be considered)
• Pediatric oncology experience strongly preferred

Dress Code

• RNs: All navy, all white, or a combination of navy and white

Ideal Candidate

Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that blends general pediatrics with oncology care. A calm, methodical approach and strong clinical assessment skills are essential on this unit.

Orientation: 4-hour hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour floor shift.
