Cath Lab / Interventional Radiology Technologist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Cath Lab / Interventional Radiology Technologist to support a fast-paced cardiovascular and interventional radiology program. You will scrub, circulate, and monitor both diagnostic and interventional procedures, with a strong emphasis on patient safety, technical excellence, and teamwork.
Shift & Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
- 40 guaranteed hours per week
- On-call required: 12 days per month (including weekends and holidays)
- 13-week contract
Clinical Scope
Cath Lab Procedures:
- Left and right heart catheterizations
- Pacemaker insertions
- Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) support
- Impella device placement and support
Interventional Radiology Procedures:
- GI bleed embolizations
- Pulmonary embolism thrombectomies
- Kyphoplasties
- Drain placements
- Port placements
- Additional IR procedures as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub, circulate, and monitor during procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields
- Operate imaging equipment and ancillary devices
- Assist physicians with device preparation, placement, and troubleshooting
- Respond to emergent cases while on call
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety and infection control standards
- Provide high-quality patient care throughout the procedure continuum
Required Qualifications
- Current RCIS or ARRT certification (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in cath lab and/or interventional radiology
- Strong technical and interpersonal skills
