NICU RN – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced NICU RN for night shift work in a Level IV Surgical NICU. This is a 13-week contract with guaranteed hours.
Shift Details
- Schedule: Weekend block nights (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Hours: 12-hour shifts
Requirements
- Current RN license
- PALS certification (required)
- NRP certification (preferred)
- Experience with high-acuity and surgical NICU patients
- Willingness to float to other units as needed
Clinical Experience Needed
You should be comfortable managing complex neonatal diagnoses and conditions including:
- Congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH)
- Meconium aspiration syndrome (MAS)
- Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC)
- Tracheoesophageal fistula / esophageal atresia (TEF/EA)
- Abdominal wall defects
- Bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD)
- Pulmonary hypertension
- Pre-, peri-, and post-operative neonatal care
Important Policies
- Nicotine-free facility. Nicotine screening required (no exceptions).
- Flu vaccine required (no exceptions; religious or medical exemptions will not be accepted).
- Must work at least one holiday if it falls during the contract period.
