About the Role

The facility's diagnostic radiology department is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging exams in a fast-paced acute care setting. You'll operate MRI equipment, select appropriate imaging protocols, and ensure diagnostic quality while maintaining strict safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams per physician orders and facility protocols
• Screen patients and staff for MRI safety contraindications (implants, devices, metal, pregnancy)
• Prepare and administer contrast media; monitor for adverse reactions
• Position patients and operate equipment/coils to optimize image quality
• Maintain MRI safety zone protocols and prevent equipment-related injury
• Document exams accurately in imaging information systems
• Collaborate with radiologists and physicians on imaging findings
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with service engineers

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program
• ARRT certification in MRI (ARRT-MR) or ARRT (R) with MRI eligibility per facility policy
• State radiologic technology license (as applicable)
• BLS certification
• 1+ years of MRI experience
• Hands-on experience with Toshiba and systems
• IV certification/venipuncture skills preferred
