Progressive Care Unit — Travel RN | Asheville, NC
Night Shift | 13-Week Contract
This travel RN opportunity is on a Progressive Care Unit in Asheville, NC, focused on neuro and trauma patient populations. The unit manages a medium-to-high acuity census with strong team support across all shifts.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Every other weekend required
Clinical Scope
The unit cares for neuro and trauma patients, with procedures including:
- Neuro and spinal checks
- C-collar placement and TLSO brace management
- Chest tube and lumbar drain management
- PCA pump and IV infusion management
- Feeding tube placement
- Blood transfusions
- Tracheostomy care
Required Certifications
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
Required Experience
- Neuro and/or trauma care — candidates without this experience will not be considered
Float Requirements
May float to stepdown or med-surg units as needed
Dress Code
Navy blue scrubs
Ideal Candidate
A team-oriented, patient-focused RN with a solid neuro/trauma background who is comfortable in a fast-paced progressive care environment.
