Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – RN
Location: Greeley, CO
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role
Join the Progressive Care Unit as an RN, providing nursing care to patients requiring closer monitoring than traditional med-surg but not ICU-level care. You'll manage moderate-acuity patients transitioning from higher levels of care or at risk of clinical deterioration, with a focus on cardiac and medical-surgical populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs; identify and respond to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, including select IV drips, per physician orders
- Assess and manage patients at risk of clinical deterioration
- Respond to rapid response and code interventions as needed
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on condition, treatment, and recovery
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with infection control and fall prevention protocols
- Manage a moderate patient load (typically 3–4 patients)
Requirements
- Active RN license in Colorado (or compact license as applicable)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- 1+ years of PCU or step-down experience
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and moderate-acuity patient management
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
- PCCN preferred
Schedule
Every other weekend and holidays per unit rotation. Float capability to medical-surgical or other PCU units as needed.
