Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical

Location: Greeley, CO

Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12.5-hour shifts)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: October 19, 2026

About the Role

The facility's medical-surgical unit provides comprehensive care to adult patients with a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, including medical, oncology, and telemetry patients. You'll manage a diverse patient caseload, performing assessments, administering medications and treatments, and coordinating care across the interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition; escalate care as needed
• Manage pre- and post-operative care, including wound care and pain management
• Provide telemetry monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Coordinate discharge planning and educate patients and families on treatment plans and instructions
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and team members on patient care plans

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Colorado (or compact license as applicable)
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency in telemetry strip interpretation
• Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience

Schedule & Float Requirements

• Every other weekend and holiday rotation per unit schedule
• Expected to float to support other campus locations as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN preferred; ADN accepted
• ACLS certification
• CMSRN certification
