Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical
Location: Greeley, CO
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract: 13 weeks
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled RN for its Medical-Surgical unit. You'll provide comprehensive care to adult patients with diverse medical and surgical diagnoses, including oncology and telemetry patients. This is a fast-paced environment where you'll manage 4–6 patients per shift and work collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Manage pre- and post-operative care, including wound care and pain management
- Coordinate care for patients with chronic and acute conditions (diabetes, cardiac, respiratory)
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Document assessments and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record
- Maintain infection control and fall prevention protocols
Requirements
- Active RN license (Colorado or compact license)
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- NIHSS certification and ability to read telemetry strips
- Colorado CAPS certification
- Minimum 1+ years of medical-surgical nursing experience
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
- CMSRN certification preferred
Schedule & Expectations
- Every other weekend and holidays per unit rotation
- Float capability to support other campus locations as needed
