Labor & Delivery RN — 12-Hour Nights | White Plains, NY
Contract: 10 Weeks | Start: October 12, 2026
This Labor & Delivery unit operates at a fast pace and cares for a high-acuity obstetric population. The unit handles , inpatient antepartum, active labor, and surgical deliveries including C-sections performed on the unit. High-risk OB experience is essential — candidates must be comfortable managing magnesium patients, high-risk presentations, and a dynamic, rapidly changing caseload.
Shift Details
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Night shift weekends fall on Friday and Saturday; 3 weekend shifts per 4-week period
- Guaranteed 34.5 hours per week
Clinical Scope
- High-risk OB patients; mag drip management; antepartum and labor care
- C-sections completed on-unit; scrub techs utilized
- Nurses perform full assessments and exams independently (IUPC insertion not required)
- Floating may include tasks in OB or nursery (not taking a full patient assignment)
- Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7
- In-house physician coverage available several nights per week
Required Qualifications
- BSN required
- Active RN license
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NRP
- RNC preferred
- Strong customer service skills and comfort with high-acuity, high-volume assignments
- Flu vaccine required — no exceptions or exemptions

- Scrubs provided by the facility
- Floor-specific orientation: 2–3 shifts
