Oncology RN – Night Shift | Augusta, GA
4x12 Nights | 17-Week Contract | Start: October 2026
This inpatient oncology unit provides care across the full cancer continuum — from new diagnosis through end-of-life — serving an adult and geriatric population. The unit maintains an average daily census of 15 patients.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, four 12-hour shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Maximum 7 days RTO per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
- Holiday coverage expected per standard rotation (up to two of three holidays falling within the assignment)
Clinical Scope
- Oncology and hematology diagnoses; end-of-life and DNR/CC care
- Oncologic emergencies and off-service patient management
- Chemotherapy administration with chemo precautions
- Morphine drips, dilaudid drips, CADD pumps, PCA pumps
- Port access and management, central line care, blood and blood product administration
- Neutropenic precautions
Floating
Floating is required within the facility and may include a nearby campus location approximately three miles away.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience (first-time travelers accepted)
- Active Georgia or Compact RN license at time of submission
- BLS required
- OCN required (chemo certifications — ONS/ONCC — required if performing chemotherapy administration role)
- Prior charge experience preferred

- Scrub color: Navy blue
- 24 hours of orientation
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered); COVID-19 vaccine not required
