Respiratory Therapist – Travel Contract | Toledo, OH
Night Shift | 3x12-Hour (18:30–07:00) | 13-Week Contract
This travel RT position is based in Toledo, OH and supports a multi-campus health system. Floating is required within the metro region as needed — including mid-shift — to ensure all guaranteed hours are fulfilled.
Clinical Scope
The facility provides general and critical respiratory care across adult ICUs, adult acute care, and pediatric/ED settings. Patient populations span neonates through geriatrics. Therapists treat diagnoses including asthma, COPD, emphysema, ia, and non-pulmonary conditions.
Core responsibilities include:
- Medication delivery via nebulizer, MDI, and aerosol setups
- Bronchopulmonary hygiene, hyperinflation therapy
- Initiation, management, and weaning of invasive and non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP, CPAP)
- Airway management: intubation assist, extubation, tracheostomy care, ETCO2 and cuff monitoring
- Blood gas sampling and analysis, spontaneous breathing parameters
- Rapid response and emergency code participation, CPR
- Assistance at high-risk deliveries (on-site training available if experience is limited)
- Invasive line/arterial line tubing and bag changes (required at select campuses)
Requirements
- Ohio RRT license must be in hand at time of submission
- NRP required prior to start date
- BLS and ACLS required
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience
- Comfort with all age groups, including basic pediatric respiratory care
- Fingerprinting (Ohio FBI/BCI) required — allow 4–6 weeks lead time
