Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Winston-Salem, NC

13-Week Contract | 3×12-Hour Nights (18:45–07:15)

This Medical-Surgical unit cares for a general adult patient population with diagnoses including renal failure, CVA, and a range of medical-surgical conditions. Note: the unit no longer accepts cardiac telemetry patients.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 18:45–07:15 | 36 hours/week
• Self-scheduling
• Every other weekend required
• Float to similar units as needed
• RTO: up to 7 days (pre-approved, no holidays; no RTO during the first week; no additional RTO after signing)
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of clinical RN experience
• Active NC or Compact RN license (pending OK for submission)
• BCLS required
• Charting system experience required — candidates without this will not be considered
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start

Preferred Certifications

• ACLS, NIHSS

Clinical Skills

IV starts, telemetry/dysrhythmia interpretation, blood product administration, heparin and insulin management, central line blood draws, wound care/wound vac, tracheostomy care, feeding tube management, chest tube care, CVA management, and isolation/PPE protocols

Additional Details

• First-time travelers accepted
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Scrubs: Navy and/or White (not provided)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
