Telemetry / PCU Travel RN — Night Shift | Greensburg, PA

Contract: 17 weeks | Shift: Nights, 3×12 (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

This Medical-Surgical Telemetry/PCU unit cares for a primarily adult and geriatric population with a mix of telemetry and step-down level acuity. The unit also manages possible medical overflow patients. Prior travel experience is required; candidates must live beyond a 50-mile radius of the facility.

Patient Population & Clinical Scope

• Cardiac telemetry monitoring (on-unit and remote)
• Vasoactive and cardiac drips (Heparin per protocol, Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, Amiodarone per protocol, Dopamine, Bumex) — monitoring without titration
• CVA management and post-TPA care
• Pre/post cardiac catheterization and angiogram care
• Central line, PICC, and port access/management
• Tracheostomy care, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula
• Chest tube management, wound care, and surgical drain management
• Seizure disorders, substance withdrawal, renal failure
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias and ABGs

Schedule & Float

• Every-other-holiday availability required
• Float within the facility as needed; potential float to sister facilities within 10 miles

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Active Pennsylvania or Compact RN license
• BLS and ACLS (AHA only), NIHSS — all current at submission
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Two supervisor references preferred
• Charge experience preferred; community hospital experience preferred

Orientation: Approximately 12 hours on-site; pre-start modules must be completed before first day.
