Cardiac Catheterization Lab Tech — Travel Assignment
Snellville, GA | Days, 4x10 (07:00–17:30) | 16-Week Contract
This interventional cardiology unit manages a diverse adult and geriatric patient population, performing a full spectrum of diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The cath lab operates across three procedure rooms and handles an average daily caseload of 8–10 cases.
Clinical Scope
- Diagnostic cardiac catheterization, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), orbital atherectomy, IABP, Impella, and device implants
- No EP studies or ablations performed on this unit
- EKG lead placement, rhythm interpretation (sinus node rhythms required), and hemodynamic monitoring
- Pacemaker experience preferred; sterile field/room circulator skills required
Required Certifications
- BLS, ACLS
- RCIS, RCES, or ARRT CV
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience — first-time travelers not accepted
- Prior travel experience required
- Georgia RN/Allied license or Compact license required at time of submission
Scheduling & Coverage
- Every other weekend required
- On-call: approximately 12–15 days/month, including 2 weekend call shifts (Sat/Sun); late stays as needed
- Floating within the department, facility, and potentially to a sister campus
- Maximum 7 days RTO per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission — no requests accepted post-offer or during orientation week
Holiday Expectations
Travelers are expected to work major holidays that fall within their assignment period (up to two; if three fall within the contract, one holiday RTO may be considered).
Scrubs: Provided by the facility
Compliance: All onboarding documents must be submitted by the Tuesday prior to start. Core items and labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing.
