Med-Surg Telemetry RN – Night Shift
Position Details
- Specialty: Medical-Surgical Telemetry
- Shift: 4×12 nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Schedule: Weekdays; every other weekend required
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week (your choice)
About the Unit
You'll work on a diverse med-surg telemetry unit caring for adult patients across a range of acuities—from uncomplicated to sub-critical. The unit specializes in cardiac monitoring, post-operative transplant patients, and adults with COPD, cardiac conditions, chest pain, diabetes, and overflow neuro/ortho cases. You'll manage central line draws, chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP support, and cardiac drips (Cardizem, nitro, heparin). An IV team and monitor technicians support your care.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years RN experience; at least 1 year in specialty
- BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- WV or Compact RN license (pending license accepted)
- Permanent address within 100 miles of the facility (75–99 miles considered on case-by-case basis)

Orientation
Bi-weekly orientation held Thursdays and Fridays. Thursday is computer-based; Friday includes badge processing and unit meet-and-greet.
Additional Information
Float within scope as needed. Royal blue/white scrubs. Free parking. Flu vaccine required during flu season (October–March); medical exemptions only. COVID vaccine not required.
Former permanent employees must wait 2 years before returning as a traveler.
