Orthopedic/Spine Surgery & Trauma — Medical-Surgical RN

Wichita, KS | 4×12 Days (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) | 13-Week Contract

This fast-paced orthopedic and spine surgery unit manages a diverse surgical and trauma population across a range of complex cases. You'll be part of an interdisciplinary team of RNs, LPNs, and Techs delivering specialized post-operative and trauma care.

Patient Population & Clinical Scope:

• Total joint replacements (hips and knees)
• Total shoulder replacements
• Foot/ankle surgeries and amputations
• Back and spine surgeries
• Hip fractures
• Complex ortho-trauma patients with multi-system fractures

Schedule & Contract Details:

• Shift: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, four 12-hour days
• Contract: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed hours: 48 per week
• Start date: November 1, 2026

Scrubs: Ceil Blue and White

Required Credentials & Certifications:

• Valid RN license (Nursys verification required at submission)
• License/Certificate Verification
• Skills checklist required at submission
• Two professional references required at submission

Onboarding Requirements Include:

• Core competency assessment and EKG exam
• Color vision screening
• Immunization records (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Influenza)
• TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA)
• 11-panel drug screen
• Criminal background check
• Education and employment verification

Candidates with orthopedic, spine, or surgical nursing experience and comfort managing high-acuity post-operative and trauma patients are encouraged to apply.
