Radiation Therapy Technologist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Radiation Therapy Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment in a busy oncology department. You'll work day shifts (9:30 AM – 6:00 PM) supporting adult inpatient and outpatient cancer patients undergoing radiation treatment.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (hours may vary slightly based on departmental needs)
- No floating required
- No on-call requirements
- No scheduling requests accommodated; no time off during the first 2 weeks
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years radiation therapy experience (not open to first-time travelers)
- California radiologic license (must be active at time of submission—no pending or temporary licenses)
- BLS certification
- ARRT R and ARRT T certifications
- Proficiency with Impac MOSAIQ treatment planning software
- Competency in CBCT/kV/mV imaging, CT simulation, and emergency case management
- Current flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
- Two professional references from supervisor or higher, within the past 12 months
Clinical Scope
You'll manage a variety of cancer cases using two treatment machines and one CT simulator alongside 14 staff therapists. Daily census ranges from 80–90 patients. Clinical experience includes external beam therapy, simulation, intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), stereotactic radiosurgery, and respiratory gating.
