X-Ray Technologist – Day Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an X-Ray Technologist for a 13-week contract working day shifts (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM), Monday through Friday. This role is ideal for candidates early in their career seeking acute care experience in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging environment.
Clinical Scope
You will independently perform routine and complex radiographic exams across multiple body systems, including chest, abdominal, spinal, and extremity imaging. You'll assist with fluoroscopy procedures and may image up to 30 patients per day. Experience with bedside/portable procedures, pediatric imaging, and trauma cases is expected. You will float between imaging units as assigned.
Requirements
- Current Texas radiologic technologist license (must be in hand at submission)
- ARRT certification with current BLS
- Minimum 1 year of acute care radiography experience
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with clinical staff
- Comfort working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Schedule & Expectations
- Day shift, 5 days per week (no weekends, no on-call)
- No call-in or block schedules required
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All time-off requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
Dress Code
Solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs (no print tops). Free employee parking available.
