Night Shift Emergency Department Nurse
Position Overview
Join the facility's Emergency Department for a 13-week contract. You'll work nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
About the Role
You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting, assessing conditions, implementing treatments, and documenting care accurately. You'll collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and support teams to manage diverse patient populations and acuity levels typical of an ED environment.
Key Responsibilities
- , assess, and monitor patients across all acuity levels
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol
- Perform wound care, catheterizations, and other clinical procedures as appropriate
- Maintain clear, timely documentation
- Communicate with patients and families with compassion and clarity
- Support team efficiency during high-volume periods
Requirements
- Current RN license (state of practice)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Emergency nursing experience preferred
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
