Mother-Baby Unit — Nights | Wichita, KS | 13-Week Contract
This travel nursing opportunity is on a mother-baby unit caring for both antepartum and postpartum patients. The unit provides comprehensive perinatal nursing care across the full spectrum of maternal acuity.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Clinical Scope
- Antepartum monitoring and care for high-risk pregnancies
- Postpartum recovery and patient/family education
- Newborn assessment and couplet care support
Required for Submission
- Active RN license (Nursys verification)
- Completed skills checklist
- Two professional references
Required for Onboarding
- Specialty exam and core competency assessments
- EKG exam and color vision assessment
- Immunizations: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Influenza
- TB screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-Spot)
- Respiratory fit test
- 12-panel drug screen
- Criminal background check
- Education and employment verification
- Government-issued photo ID
Candidates should have solid mother-baby experience and be comfortable managing both antepartum and postpartum caseloads independently in a fast-paced environment.
