Position Overview

The facility's Physical Therapy Department is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to direct and coordinate department operations under the Director of Physical Therapy. You will administer prescribed physical therapy modalities, oversee clinical staff, and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards while delivering high-quality patient care.

Shift & Contract Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: January 25, 2027

Key Responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy agents and modalities as prescribed by physicians
• Supervise department operations and coordinate patient care delivery
• Conduct patient assessments across all age groups and perform reassessments per protocol
• Develop and implement treatment plans; educate patients and families
• Participate in continuous quality improvement (CQI) and performance improvement activities
• Review department charges for accuracy and timeliness
• Maintain equipment safely; ensure department compliance with infection control and safety standards
• Train clinical and nursing staff; collaborate with other departments on patient care
• Assess patient response to treatment and communicate recommendations to physicians
• Monitor and manage departmental budget and operations

Required Qualifications

• Current California licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist
• Minimum 3 years of physical therapy experience (preferred)
• Current BCLS certification
• Strong knowledge of physical therapy modalities, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities effectively
