Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. This is a night shift position working 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) for a 13-week contract.

Requirements

• Minimum 12 months of permanent Med-Surg/Telemetry nursing experience
• Current Permanent Ohio license or active Compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications (NIHSS preferred)
• One professional reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in your specialty, from work within the past 12 months
• No pending certifications accepted; all certifications must be active and in hand

What to Expect

You'll provide care in a focused clinical environment, managing telemetry patients and Med-Surg acuity levels. You'll complete facility-required orientation modules (average 6–15 hours) and participate in ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during onboarding.

Important Notes

• Background check and BCI/FBI fingerprinting required within 48 hours of contract signing
• Annual hands-on competency requirements apply for extended or returning assignments
• Extensions available up to 18 months; a 6-month break follows unless otherwise approved
• Nicotine-free requirement applies (RN exemption currently in effect)
