Emergency Department RN – Travel Contract | Burlington, NC

Nights | 13-Week Assignment

This fast-paced Emergency Department cares for patients across all age groups — from neonates to geriatrics — with a clinical focus that includes cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health presentations. The unit supports specialty services including stroke care, women's health, and cardiac intervention.

Shift Details

• 3x12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Occasional 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM shifts as needed
• Up to every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• No on-call required

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start: October 19, 2026

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ED experience; first-time travelers welcome
• Active RN license required at time of submission
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, STARR/Behavioral Population
• Prior STEMI and stroke facility experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)

Clinical Skills Required

• , dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator care, ICP monitoring
• Central line care, IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation
• Blood product administration, phlebotomy
• Management of CVA, TBI, spinal cord injury, ortho trauma, and behavioral health patients

Additional Details

• Float to other campuses may be required
• No local candidates within 50-mile radius
• 36-hour orientation; non-billable compliance modules average 2–4 hours
• Requested time off must be submitted with application; no post-submission RTO accepted
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
