Inpatient Acute Care Rehabilitation RN — Greensboro, NC

13-Week Contract | Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

This inpatient rehabilitation unit provides specialized care for adults and geriatric patients recovering from neurological and complex medical conditions, including stroke (CVA), traumatic and acquired brain injury (TBI/ABI), spinal cord injury, and generalized debility. Post-surgical patients — including those recovering from aneurysm repair and other neurosurgical procedures — are also a regular part of the patient population.

Schedule & Float

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every 3rd weekend required; holidays as needed
• Float between multiple campuses within the health system is required

Clinical Responsibilities

• Laboratory result interpretation, medication reconciliation, and comprehensive health assessments
• Vital signs monitoring, dressing changes, and aseptic/sterile procedure setup
• Specimen collection and phlebotomy (capillary, throat, urine/UA clean catch)
• Telephone and pharmacy coordination

Patient Ratios

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; no first-time travelers
• Acute care rehab experience preferred
• BLS required
• Prior experience with electronic medical records required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• No candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility
• COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Requested time off must be submitted with the initial application
