Med Surg Tele

Medical-Surgical / Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Greensboro, NC

Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: Nights, 3×12 (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Start Date: October 26, 2026

This Medical-Surgical unit serves an adult and geriatric population across a broad range of diagnoses. While the unit is tele-capable and requires EKG competency, the primary patient population is Medical-Surgical.

Patient Population & Clinical Scope

• General Medical-Surgical and observation patients
• Respiratory conditions and management
• Palliative, end-of-life, and hospice care
• Psychiatric observation
• Diabetes management (including new diagnoses and complications)
• Surgical and surgical observation patients

Required Clinical Skills

• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• BiPAP/CPAP management
• Blood product administration
• PICC and peripheral line care
• Pre/post hemodialysis management
• Chest tube, wound care, and wound vac management
• Feeding tube and colostomy/ileostomy care
• IV insertion and maintenance

Schedule & Float

• Every-other-weekend required
• Must work 2 of 4 holidays
• Float to other campus locations required when census is low

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers welcome
• Active RN license in hand at submission
• BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• No candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• RTO must be submitted with initial application
