Med Surg Tele

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN | Travel Contract | Greensboro, NC

This 13-week travel contract places you on a telemetry-capable Med/Surg unit managing a primarily medical-surgical patient population. The unit cares for adults and geriatric patients across a broad acuity range.

Schedule

• 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Must work 2 of 4 holidays
• Float to other campus locations required when census demands

Patient Population & Clinical Scope

• Observation, general medical-surgical, and surgical observation patients
• Respiratory conditions and management
• Palliative, end-of-life, and hospice care
• Psychiatric observation
• Diabetic management, including new-onset and complication cases

Required Skills & Certifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers welcome
• BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• Proficiency in telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Skills in BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, PICC and peripheral line care, wound care/wound vac, chest tube management, and pre/post hemodialysis management
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
