Ultrasound Technologist – Sonography

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced ultrasound technologist to join a busy outpatient ultrasound department. You'll work in a clinical environment performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies in a collaborative team setting.

Shift & Schedule

• Primary Shift: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday
• Weekend/On-Call: Rotating weekend coverage (Saturday–Sunday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM) with one night of call per week and approximately 6–8 call days per month
• Contract Duration: 91 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Clinical Scope

You'll perform the full breadth of ultrasound examinations, including:

• Abdominal and pelvic imaging
• Obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound (high-risk OB experience valued)
• Vascular studies (carotid, venous, ABIs)
• Small parts and breast ultrasound

Typical exam time: 30–45 minutes per patient. You'll write reports and coordinate with radiologists using standardized protocols and templates.

Required Qualifications

• ARDMS certification (ABD or OB)
• Strong OB ultrasound experience and ability to scan general ultrasound with vascular
• Current BLS certification
• RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) preferred

You'll work alongside experienced technologists in a 2-room ultrasound suite. The ideal candidate is a reliable team player, efficient, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
