Med/Surg Telemetry — Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry nurse for an 8-week night shift assignment. You'll provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing acute medical and surgical patients.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed hours: 72 hours biweekly
- Start date: January 11th
- Request time off: No more than 3 days during the contract
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience
- Current BLS-AHA and ACLS certifications required
- RN license (active in MA)
- Competency assessment on day one (single attempt)
- Relias onboarding modules with 2 attempts to pass (prepares for facility-specific testing)
Key Responsibilities
- Direct patient care delivery on a med/surg telemetry unit
- Cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
- Float to other units or locations as staffing needs require
- Collaboration with interdisciplinary care team
What to Know
This is a focused, short-term contract with a guaranteed hours commitment. The role requires flexibility with floating assignments and successful completion of orientation testing. Strong foundational nursing skills and comfort with telemetry care are essential.
