Operating Room RN — Travel Contract | Glens Falls, NY

Shift: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM, with flexibility to evenings as needed

Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: October 15, 2026

About the Role

This OR position supports a busy surgical service caring for pediatric through adult patients across a wide range of specialties, including vascular, orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, robotics, urology, and ENT. Cardiac and ophthalmology are not performed at this facility. The OR covers 14 rooms and includes coverage in Labor & Delivery for C-sections, with approximately 50 procedures performed daily.

This is primarily a circulating role; scrub experience is a strong plus.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform pre-, intra-, and post-operative patient assessments
• Establish and maintain a sterile, safe surgical environment
• Provide pre- and post-operative patient education
• Monitor patient physical and emotional status throughout the surgical care continuum
• Coordinate care across multiple surgical specialties

Requirements

• 2+ years of current OR experience
• Float experience across vascular, ortho, trauma, general surgery, robotics, urology, and ENT
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Scrub and circulate experience
• BLS and ACLS (AHA) — must be current at time of submission
• New York RN license required
• Electronic health record proficiency required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Personal vehicle required

Scheduling

• No weekend requirement
• On-call: approximately 1 shift per month if needed
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of profile upload — no exceptions

Orientation: 8-hour non-billable orientation upon start
