Registered Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a night shift position (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This is a 13-week contract role offering 36 guaranteed hours per week.
About the Role
You will deliver coordinated nursing care to an assigned group of patients, utilizing the nursing process and critical thinking to assess needs, develop care plans, and evaluate outcomes. This position includes supervisory responsibilities—you'll direct the activities of various nursing staff levels and coordinate care across disciplines. You'll collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe, compassionate care and participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and analyze patient data to identify care needs and diagnoses
- Implement individualized care plans and monitor patient progress
- Supervise and delegate appropriately to nursing team members
- Educate patients and families on health topics
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members
- Participate in discharge planning
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in California
- Current BLS certification from an approved vendor
- Minimum two years of recent acute care experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Vaccination status per facility policy (medical and religious exemptions may apply)
