Registered Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the emergency department on a night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This is a 13-week contract assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week.
Clinical Scope
You'll deliver coordinated, compassionate nursing care to emergency patients, working within established standards of practice. Responsibilities include:
- Collecting and analyzing patient assessment data to inform care decisions
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, quality outcomes
- Supervising and directing assigned nursing staff
- Participating in patient and family education
- Coordinating discharge planning for continuity of care
- Delegating appropriately across the healthcare team
Requirements
- Current RN license in California (required)
- Current BLS certification (required)
- Minimum two years recent acute care nursing experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Strong critical thinking and independent judgment skills
