Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Unit
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver coordinated care for patients on a medical-surgical unit. You'll supervise and direct assigned nursing staff, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and utilize critical thinking and professional judgment to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes. This is a day shift position offering the opportunity to work in a supportive acute care environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Hours: 36–48 hours per week
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Start Date: October 12, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, analyze, and develop individualized care plans for assigned patients
- Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing and support staff
- Implement evidence-based interventions and monitor patient progress
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in discharge planning
- Delegate tasks effectively and maintain a safe, healing environment
- Provide education to patients, families, and team members
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in California
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
