Registered Nurse

Wound Care RN — Inpatient Acute Care | Simi Valley, CA

Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM | No weekends | Guaranteed Hours: 36/week

This inpatient wound care role is a consult-based position serving patients across multiple units throughout the facility. You'll work autonomously while collaborating closely with physicians and nursing staff to manage a diverse wound care caseload.

Clinical Scope

• Assessment, treatment, and prevention of pressure injuries, draining wounds, fistulas, and tubes
• Specialized consultation on wound, ostomy, and continence care for patients, families, and clinical staff
• Management of patients with altered skin integrity due to pressure necrosis, drainage, or incontinence
• Conduct rounds on patients with wound/pressure ulcers and injuries on an as-needed basis
• Develop and implement individualized wound care plans; evaluate progress toward outcomes

Schedule & Logistics

• Day shift, Monday–Friday only
• No weekend requirement
• Any scrub color is acceptable

Requirements

• Active RN license (California or compact)
• Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient acute wound care experience
• Current BLS certification
• Wound care certification preferred (with commitment to obtain if not yet held)
• BSN preferred
• Charting system proficiency required — candidates must have experience with the facility's electronic health record platform
