Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. You will deliver coordinated nursing care to patients while supervising and directing assigned nursing staff. This role requires strong clinical judgment, collaboration across disciplines, and the ability to manage dynamic patient populations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients, analyze clinical data, and develop individualized care plans using the nursing process
- Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing staff members
- Implement evidence-based interventions and monitor patient progress toward outcomes
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatment plans
- Participate in discharge planning and care coordination
- Delegate appropriately and manage team workflow
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in California
- Minimum two years of recent acute care nursing experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
Position Details
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Schedule: Day shift, 36–48 hours per week
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
