Cardiac Cath Lab RN – 13-Week Contract
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday (5 × 8-hour shifts)
- Call: 2 days per week + 1–2 weekends per month
The Role
You'll deliver coordinated nursing care in a busy cardiac catheterization lab, managing a diverse case load including structural heart interventions, vascular procedures, diagnostic catheterizations, Impella support, ECMO cases, and emergent cath situations. You'll work independently and collaboratively, applying critical thinking to patient assessment, care planning, and implementation while supervising and coordinating with the nursing team and other disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients and analyze data to identify care needs
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide direct patient and family education
- Coordinate discharge planning for continuity of care
- Delegate appropriately and lead nursing staff activities
- Maintain a safe, healing care environment
- Participate in quality and safety initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Current California RN license
- Minimum 5 years acute care experience, with substantial Cath Lab background
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification
- BLS certification (current, from approved vendor)
- Proficiency with electronic health records
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
