Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Hours: 36–48 per week
About the Role
You'll deliver coordinated nursing care in a busy emergency department, managing acute and critical patients. You'll supervise and direct assigned nursing staff, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and apply critical thinking and independent judgment to ensure safe, compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and synthesize patient health data to identify care needs
- Develop and implement individualized care plans with targeted interventions
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care strategies in real time
- Educate patients and families; coordinate discharge planning
- Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing team members
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and support staff in a team-based environment
- Maintain a safe, healing environment aligned with professional standards
Required Qualifications
- RN licensure in California
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current PALS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
