Medical Observation RN – 16-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced RN for its Medical Observation unit. You'll care for patients requiring close monitoring and assessment in a structured observation setting.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour nights: 7 PM–7 AM / 7 AM–7 PM rotation
- 36 hours per week
- Weekend requirement: 1 shift per week or 2 shifts every other weekend
- Holiday commitment: Must work Thanksgiving and Black Friday
- Must remain flexible to accommodate facility scheduling needs
Requirements
- Active New York RN License
- AHA BLS and NIH certifications
- 2+ years acute hospital experience with 1 recent year in this specialty
- 2+ years U.S. work history (required for international candidates)
- Charge experience requested but not required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
What You'll Do
You'll monitor patients' vital signs, assess clinical changes, and communicate with the care team. The role values flexibility and the ability to adapt to daily scheduling needs. Block booking may be available but is not guaranteed.
