ICU Registered Nurse — Night Shift | Simi Valley, CA

Contract: 13 weeks | Start Date: October 12, 2026

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3x12s (36 hours/week)

This travel RN opportunity is in an acute care ICU setting in Simi Valley, California — a suburban community with easy access to outdoor recreation, coastal beaches, and the greater Los Angeles area.

Unit Overview

The ICU provides high-acuity nursing care for critically ill patients. Nurses are responsible for comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, and coordination across the multidisciplinary team. The role requires strong critical thinking, independent clinical judgment, and the ability to supervise and delegate to other nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients and analyze data to formulate care plans and identify patient outcomes
• Implement and evaluate individualized interventions
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the care team in a safe, patient-centered environment
• Provide patient and family education and health information
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Delegate and coordinate duties among the healthcare team

Requirements

• Active RN licensure in California
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
• BLS certification required
• BSN preferred
• Charting system experience required
• Holiday time off requests will not be approved

Schedule Notes

• Night shift only; 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 91-week contract available beyond initial 13-week assignment
